Lisa Postlethwait is a Professional Life Coach serving Barrington, IL and the entire Chicago area. She is certified through the Life Coaching Institute of Orange County, which is approved by the International Coach Federation. In addition, Lisa is a registered and licensed Occupation Therapist. She earned her B.S. in Occupational Therapy in 1990 from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 2002, Lisa excelled in the M.A. Counseling graduate program at The Illinois Institute of Professional Psychology. During her counseling internship, she trained through The Claret Center, a center for Psychotherapy and Spiritual Direction. Lisa was the Counseling Intern for a large church in the Chicago Suburbs.
As a Life Coach, Lisa combines her 26 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, the knowledge she received in her graduate studies in Counseling, her counseling internship experience, and her training and certification as a Professional Life Coach. By layering this experience together, Lisa offers a well-rounded approach utilizing a variety of interventions and tools with her clients to assist them in achieving their goals.
A bit about Lisa’s personal life:
Lisa is married to Rich, and together they parent a blended family of four kids (One Boy and three girls: teens and a tween). She is also “Mom” to the playful family Teddy Bear Dog named “Finn” and a cranky cat named “Cupcake”. Lisa is active in her faith and attends a local Vineyard Church. Her interests include cooking and dining with friends & family, having friends over to play ping pong and sing along to music, outdoor activities, playing pickleball and most things water related. Lisa’s favorite past time is boating with her husband and being out in nature admiring the beauty of the water.
